A continuum template to help students explore characters, setting and language. The first activity is a linear continuum where students can place quotations or themes for comparison. The second activity is a cross-continuum where students can choose two sets of opposite key ideas from a text and place them on the grid.
There is an example from Harry Potter using the key ideas of 'good', 'bad', 'open' and 'secretive' with various characters places on the grid.
